• ABI 101 - Pre-test

  Welcome to the ABI tutorial pre-test. The purpose is to test your ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) knowledge base prior to taking the ABI tutorial. This Pre-Test is a pre-requisite for taking the ABI Training Tutorials.
• ABI 102 - ABI Video Tutorial

  • Instructor: Elmira Asongwed

  In this course, you will
  

  1. Watch a video tutorial on Peripheral Arterial Disease and Ankle-Brachial Index technique
  2. Review a PowerPoint/slide lecture on PAD/ABI content
  3. Read a published article on PAD and use of ABI

  Thereafter, you will proceed to take a post-test.
• ABI 103 - Post-Test

  • Instructor: Elmira Asongwed

  The Post-ABI tutorial Post-Test should be taken only after completion of the ABI video tutorial. A passing grade of 90% is required to receive a certificate of completion.

The Saving Legs Project ABI Online Course Launched for DC Physical Therapists by Emmanuel John - Wednesday, 20 October 2010, 09:47 PM

The Saving Legs Project (TSLP) Ankle Brachial Index Online Course will be launched today, Monday 4th October 2010, for Physical Therapists (PT) in the District of Columbia (DC). According to Dr. Senora Simpson, Chair of the DC Physical Therapy board, "the Board will grant 4 CEU credits to any PT who completes the online course". A presentation on how to complete the course online will be made by Dr. Emmanuel John during the October DCPT meeting taking place from 5.00pm - 8.00pm, in the main auditorium of the Howard Medical School. Dr. John is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, howard University, Washington, DC. He is a co-investigator in the TSLP and the webmaster for the project.
